Crowflies
January 1st. There was a time when we thought we’d be moved in by now and having a party. We’re not there, but happy to be where we are.
Crowflies is a parcel of 107 acres in Norfolk, Connecticut, mostly unbroken second growth forest with about 30 acres of wetlands. After three years of thinking and planning, construction began one week ago today. A small space has been cleared for solar access and for gardens. Stone raised beds and walls are being built over the next few weeks, and plans for the gardens are underway. There are moose on the property, and we can’t wait to learn who else lives there. Early photos of before will be contrasted soon.
